Create Your Own

Why should you have to decide on a specific fabric? You shouldn’t, that’s why we specialize in process & laminate, choose your own fabric to match your own decor and be as unique as you would like, lets take a look at them both:

Processing

When we process a fabric we will coat it in our solution, this is the absorbed by the cotton fibres within the fabric. Then we leave the fabric to dry causing the fabric to stiffen. Once the fabric is stiffened we are the able to cut your fabric to size. Finally we side hem the fabric, this prevents fraying.

Laminating

We have to Laminate specific fabrics, this can include fabrics that have been treated with a stain repellent such as Scotch guard or if the fabric has been coated in a fire retardant. Laminating is a shorter process as we do not have to allow for drying time but still has fantastic results. First of all we will bond the fabric to a stiffened backing, we will then cut the fabric to size and over lock so that the fabric does not fray.

To Find out which treatment you require, please do what we call "The Water Test"

Taking a small amount of your required fabric, drop a small amount of water onto the fabric.
If the fabric absorbs the water it can be processed.
If the water sits on the fabric without being absorbed then it will need to be laminated.

Fabric Requirements:

For a straight bottom roller blind we require an additional 30cm of fabric to allow for hemming and trimming.

If you require more than 1 blind in the same fabric you will need to send us an additional pattern repeat to enable us to match the pattern on each blind.

If in doubt about anything to do with create your own then please send us an email or give us a call and we will be happy to talk you through it.

 * Please note we cannot process the following fabrics - Flame Retardent, Scotch Guarded, Or anti-stain finished. They will need to be laminated*

Please select your required treatment below, then input your measurements, whether you measured for Exact or Recess and which side you would like your control.
